Patriotism and Nationalism are two distinct concepts. Nationalism is a man-made creation made to deny certain humans their rights, while patriotism is the concept of defending human rights of all equals. The former is often referenced as a disease. Nationalism is not love of one’s country, it is the will to dominate others in its name, while patriotism is the will to free those under one’s flag. Nationalism is the concept to enforce state rights while Patriotism is to enforce human rights. Nationalism is the replacement of God into man, while patriotism is to enforce God’s commands. Nationalism demands standardization of people into an Identity management system that gets deployed to zone people and divide each other to be easily ruled. Nationalism promises individual empowerment, cultural supremacy, safety, and protection from invasion and exploitation, while over 70% of our world lives under oppressive regime with record breaking in inequality and a total collapse of any standards of ethics. The purpose of our economic and political systems is to care for all humankind and our children, anything less means the end of humanity, and the quality that makes us human, not compete for other’s resources.

A republic means a thing that’s owned and operated by the public not the elite. And after 6000 years of recorded history, the whole human wisdom tradition shows us that the greatest Commandment of all, is that love your neighbor as yourself and not Kill them.
